Our Whakatauki: He moana pukepuke ka ekengia e te waka.

Check out these outstanding year-6 blog posts on our Waka Hourua whakatauki, He moana pukepuke ka ekengia e te waka. Our Waka Hourua whakatauki translates as, "A choppy sea can be navigated."

We talked about adding the translation to the Waka Hourua blog header and decided not to. It is important to us that our visitors focus on the Te Reo. We are responsible for sharing what this whakatauki means to us and our St Mark's School family.

Our year-5 friends also posted some excellent explanations of our whakatauki. They will join our Waka Hourua whānau next year.
